A film created to start community conversations bout anxiety and provide tools, resources, and hope.
May 14, 2020 – A partnership between Windsor and Windsor Locks is sparking a conversation about anxiety through virtual screenings of its documentary, “Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety”. The film includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, experts, parents and a very special interview with Michael Phelps. This virtual screening is brought to you by a partnership with the Windsor Youth Services Bureau, Windsor Locks Youth Services Bureau, and the Windsor Locks Wellness Coalition.
According to the World Health Organization, anxiety disorders are the most common mental health challenge in the U.S., impacting 54% of females and 46% of males, with age seven being the median age of onset. While anxiety disorders are highly treatable, only 33% of those suffering receive treatment.
The unique online screening will feature a viewing of the 56-minute film that can be streamed on your home device anytime between Friday, May 15 through Thursday, May 21, 2020. The recommended viewing age is 12 years and older. An informative panel discussion, led by community members, will be held via a Zoom Meeting on Thursday, May 21st at 6:00 PM. To register, visit
