The holiday season can be difficult for individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief or substance use disorders. However, CHR is here for the community, offering Real Hope and effective treatments.
This year, it’s even easier to access expert behavioral healthcare services thanks to the new national 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline number, available by dialing 988.
Modelled after 911, the 988 initiative was created to make it easier to connect people in crisis with the right care, right away.
For CHR, 988 directs more calls to our adult and child mobile crisis teams, both of which have experienced double-digit increases in demand since 2021, and creates one more door for people to find our services.
“While we think of the holidays as a time of joy, the season can be especially triggering for individuals who are experiencing loneliness, grief or depression,” said Jennifer Doutre, LCSW, Service Director at CHR. “At CHR, we work with each individual to develop realistic strategies and treatment for recovery and lasting hope,” she said, “We are just a phone call away.”
Please remind your friends and families about 988. To reach CHR immediately, call the Triage Center at 1-877-884-3571.
