CHR recently announced the appointment of Michele M. Gaudet, CPA, as the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer. Gaudet came to CHR following former CFO Kathleen Baber’s retirement in December.
Ms. Gaudet has over 20 years’ experience in public accounting servicing nonprofit audit clients and their related 403(b) plan audits. In her role as CFO Gaudet is responsible for overseeing all aspects of CHR’s financial operations, facilities and information technologies as well as helping to support the organization’s strategic objectives. Gaudet is also responsible for ensuring CHR’s compliance with all regulations concerning the management and expenditure of federal and state funds.

In addition to her role at CHR, Gaudet also assists in designing internal audit processes, software implementations and teaches continuing education courses related to Circular A-133 and Connecticut State Single Audits. Through her technical expertise, she also teaches in-house courses related to other unique nonprofit accounting areas and specialized software programs.
