CHR Attains Gold Seal of Approval

Consistent with its dedication to being Connecticut’s most comprehensive behavioral health provider for adults, children and families, CHR recently received a Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards.  The Gold Seal of Approval® is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective care and validates that CHR meets or exceeds quality and safety standards.

During the review process last fall, CHR underwent a rigorous onsite survey focused on compliance with behavioral health care standards related to several areas, including care, treatment, and services; environment of care; leadership; and screening procedures for the early detection of imminent harm was evaluated. Onsite observations and interviews also were conducted throughout the review.

At the conclusion of the review, it was announced that all of CHR sites, including the Behavioral Health Home, have been accredited by the Joint Commission.

“By achieving and maintaining this accreditation, we strengthen our quality of care, demonstrate our ongoing commitment and add a layer of trust and confidence for those using our services,” said Heather M. Gates, CHR’s President and CEO.
