It’s hard to imagine living through the pandemic without a place to call home, especially for children and teens. That’s why CHR is so proud to continue to provide therapeutic foster care services through the Functional Family Therapy-Foster Care (FFT-FC) model in northeastern Connecticut.
CHR’s program helps children and teens find safe, loving families to help them navigate the challenges of growing up. For families fostering youth, CHR provides a daily stipend to cover costs such as food, clothing and school supplies, as well as multiple training opportunities, respite care and 24/7 access to trained case managers. Learn more by listening to a recent interview with WILI featuring TFC Supervisor Christine Tomlin, LCSW and Recruitment Coordinator Nicole Crenshaw here.
This month, during National Adoption Month, CHR recognizes the thousands of children and teens in need of homes right now and honors the families that have grown through adoption.
